INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER

 

Nicholas Linke is an experienced instructional designer with over a decade of expertise in education, leaving the classroom after 11 years to focus on professional development and outreach for teachers. He holds a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction and is currently pursuing a PhD in educational technology. Nicholas is passionate about researching and disseminating best practices with the tools and strategies they need to inspire and engage learners.

His work focuses on fostering collaboration, innovation, and adaptability, ensuring that learning is impactful and practical. His dedication to education stems from his belief in the transformative power of learning and his desire to create meaningful experiences.

Currently residing in Missouri with his wife and three children, Nicholas balances his professional endeavors with his love for science, storytelling, and philosophy. In his spare time, he immerses himself in a fictional universe of his own creation, centered around the Greek Fates of mythology: The Moirae.

Nicholas is the author of The Moirae, Malignant, Tangents, a collection of interconnected short stories that explore the boundaries between mythology and science, as well as Dharma & Eldon and the Sandwich, a children's story co-written with his wife. Through his writing, Nicholas explores complex themes of destiny, identity, and human nature, weaving a narrative that reflects his deep curiosity and creative spirit.

 

For over two decades, Nicholas has crafted an expansive universe where ancient myths meet modern dilemmas, offering readers a blend of timeless storytelling with a philosophical edge.​ He believes storytelling is not only a way to entertain but also a means to connect, challenge, and inspire—bridging the past and future through the timeless art of narrative.

KRISTINA DAWN LINKE

Kristina Dawn Linke is a co-author of The Moirae series as well as Dharma & Eldon, a children’s book that creatively blends mythical characters with life lessons on cooperation and effort.

 

Published by Compass Flower Press in 2020, Dharma & Eldon and the Sandwich was a collaborative effort between Kristina and Nicholas Linke, featuring characters like Dharma the Donkicorn and Eldon the Elephant, who navigate challenges in sharing and fairness.

 

Kristina’s background in imaginative storytelling shines through in her work, crafting engaging stories that impart meaningful life lessons through colorful characters and whimsical settings.

 

Her contributions to The Moirae universe bring a depth of creativity, balancing darker philosophical themes with a touch of imaginative flair.

Joseph Gabriel Plaggenberg is a multi-faceted creative individual, contributing to The Moirae universe through his work with the band Modern Gods and as the author of An Account of Mister Contagious.

 

His collaboration with Nicholas Linke spans both literary and musical realms, helping to shape the universe's auditory and narrative elements.

 

The Modern Gods project intertwines with the overarching themes of mythology, fate, and modern dilemmas explored in The Moirae series, creating a cohesive, multi-sensory experience for audiences.

 

Joseph’s storytelling style, marked by its experimental and philosophical tone, complements the complex narrative structure of Nicholas Linke’s universe, adding another layer of depth and immersion for readers and listeners alike.
